A lively, low-intervention red born from the green heart of Minho in Portugal’s Vinho Verde region. Crafted from Vinhão and Alvarelhão grapes grown on traditional ramadas—pergola-like trellises that shade the fruit and preserve freshness—this unfiltered wine is naturally fizzy, fruit-forward, and full of charm. A subtle grip of tannin grounds its juicy, brambly character, making it a red that’s best served chilled. Made by Tubarão, a project from Marcio Lopes and Ricardo Garrido, Tinto de Ramadas honours the unique viticulture of Póvoa de Varzim and helps preserve endangered farming practices like campos de masseira. A spirited blend of old traditions and new energy—this is Portuguese natural wine at its most vibrant.
