The Chocolate Block 2022 is the 21st vintage of this iconic South African wine, now crafted with a majority of sustainably farmed grapes from Swartland vineyards, including the renowned Porseleinberg and Goldmine farms. A cooler growing season with balanced rainfall led to elegant, aromatic fruit and fine tannins, resulting in a wine of purity, structure, and balance. Fermented with whole berries and aged for 12-14 months in French oak, this vintage reflects a stylistic evolution towards refined fruit expression and elegance under the stewardship of Marc Kent.
