Anthonij Rupert Optima is a premium South African red blend from the Franschhoek & Western Cape/Coastal Region made by the renowned Anthonij Rupert winery. It’s a Bordeaux‑style blend typically combining Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc (and often a touch of Petit Verdot), aged in French oak, producing a full‑bodied dry red with rich, layered aromas and flavours of dark berries, cassis and plum framed by spice, cedar, tobacco and cocoa notes, with smooth, refined tannins and a long, elegant finish — making it ideal with grilled red meats, lamb, rich stews and mature cheeses.
