Nautilus Marlborough Chardonnay

Nautilus Marlborough Chardonnay is a cool‑climate Chardonnay from Marlborough, New Zealand (the same region famous for Sauvignon Blanc) that shows both New‑World fruit intensity and Burgundian inspiration in its style. Made from 100% Chardonnay grapes grown in the Renwick vineyard, it’s typically barrel‑fermented in French oak (about 20% new) and aged on lees, giving it texture and complexity while preserving freshness and minerality. On the nose and palate you’ll find stone fruits like nectarine and apricot, honeyed notes, brioche and toasted hazelnut, with a flinty, mineral edge and bright acidity, and it finishes clean and well‑balanced. This wine pairs beautifully with dishes like creamy chicken, seafood or richer fish, and while it’s enjoyable upon release, the structure means many vintages can develop further complexity over a few years in bottle.
