Domaine des Deux Roches Mâcon-Villages is a bright, unoaked Chardonnay from southern Burgundy, made by long-time friends Christian Collovray and Jean-Luc Terrier, who’ve been crafting wine together since the 1980s. It’s grown on limestone-rich soils beneath the iconic rocks of Solutré and Vergisson, which give the wine its trademark freshness and minerality. In the glass, it offers ripe orchard fruit—think golden apple and pear—alongside floral notes and a subtle, creamy texture from lees ageing, all wrapped up in a clean, zippy finish. There’s no oak here, just pure fruit and stone character. Perfect with roast chicken, grilled fish, goat’s cheese, or vegetable tarts, it’s a classy, food-friendly white that shows off Burgundy’s more approachable, easygoing side.
