Domaine de Cassiopée is bringing new attention to the quiet corners of Maranges, a lesser-known appellation at the southern edge of the Côte de Beaune. Since taking over in 2020, Talloulah Dubourg and Hugo Mathurin have been working organically with old vines on limestone and granite soils, producing wines that are clear, bright, and expressive. Their 2022 vintage reflects a thoughtful balance of fruit and freshness, shaped by careful farming and a commitment to place. The Chardonnay, grown on opposing slopes of granite and limestone, shows exotic fruit and herbal lift, carried by purity and precision.
