Domaine Bachey-Legros Maranges

From the southernmost slopes of Burgundy's Côte de Beaune, this Pinot Noir is a testament to the enduring legacy of Domaine Bachey-Legros. Planted in 1945, the estate's old vines yield small, concentrated berries, resulting in a wine of remarkable depth and character. The vineyard's clay-rich soils contribute to the wine's rich color and velvety texture. The grapes are allowed to ripen fully to achieve the softest possible tannins, and the wine is vinified delicately to preserve the purity of the fruit. Aged for 14 months in oak barrels, 20% of which are new, it offers a harmonious balance of power and elegance.
